The doors are officially open! Poundstretcher has arrived on Tottenham High Road, and we were delighted to welcome our first shoppers through the doors on Wednesday, September 30th.
The morning got off to a great start as the Mayor of Haringey, Councillor Dawn Barnes, joined the Poundstretcher team to celebrate the opening and officially welcome us to the local community.
And, of course, we couldn’t open a brand-new store without a little something for our first shoppers! The first 100 customers through the doors received a FREE goody bag, with plenty of excitement as shoppers got their first look around the new store.
So, what can you find in your new local Poundstretcher? There’s a little bit of everything, with bargains across clothing, DIY, gardening, health and beauty, home décor, snacks, storage, pet, sweets and drinks. Whether you’re popping in for something you need or just having a browse, there’s plenty to discover.
The new store has also created up to 15 local jobs, welcoming new colleagues to the Poundstretcher team and giving us the opportunity to become part of the Tottenham community.
Our opening in Tottenham is another exciting step in Poundstretcher’s continued expansion across the UK, and we’re looking forward to seeing plenty more familiar faces through the doors in the weeks and months ahead.
