It was a fantastic morning in Merthyr Tydfil as Poundstretcher officially opened its doors at 9am on Friday, September 25th. Leader of the Council Brent Carter joined the Poundstretcher team to celebrate the opening and welcome the new store to the town.
There was plenty of excitement from the very start, with the first 100 shoppers receiving a FREE goody bag as they made their way through the doors. Customers were also among the first to explore the brand-new store and discover its wide range of great-value products.
Shoppers can find bargains across a variety of departments, including clothing, DIY, gardening, health and beauty, home décor, snacks, storage, pet, sweets and drinks.
The opening has also created up to 15 new jobs for the local community and forms part of Poundstretcher’s continued expansion across the UK.
Andy Atkinson, Chief Executive Officer of Poundstretcher, said: “Household budgets remain under pressure, so we are committed to expanding our store network and making it easier for even more people to access great products at great prices.
